Keep Your Safety Systems Working Right
Your car's safety systems need precise alignment to work properly. Lane keeping, cruise control, collision warning, and automatic braking all depend on exact sensor positioning.
Your car needs calibration after windshield replacement. It also needs it after collision repairs or suspension changes. We restore factory accuracy using the right methods and safety standards. We provide complete paperwork for insurance approval.
What We Calibrate
- Forward collision warning systems
- Automatic emergency braking (AEB)
- Lane departure and keeping systems
- Adaptive cruise control
- Blind spot monitoring
- Traffic sign recognition
We include paperwork with every calibration. We also provide our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty on all work.

Mobile Static Calibration
We bring our equipment to your home, office, or fleet yard. We can do static calibration when your site meets our needs.
Your Site Needs:
- Level, paved surface with 10-20 feet clear space ahead of your car
- No curbs, drains, slopes, or blocks in setup zone
- Steady lighting (garage or shade works best - no harsh glare on targets)
- Clean windshield and camera area
- Stable weather (no heavy wind or rain)
We check if mobile works when you book. If conditions change on the day, we complete calibration in our shop to ensure accuracy.
Prep Checklist:
- Park on flat, paved surface with about 20 ft open space in front
- Remove roof racks that could cast shadows on camera view
- Make sure you have good lighting or shade overhead
- Clean windshield inside and outside near camera
- Have keys ready for before and after scans
In-Shop Static Calibration
Our shop provides the ideal controlled space for static calibration. This removes variables that could affect accuracy.
When We Route You In-Shop:
- Factory procedure requires controlled indoor space
- Your car needs multi-target setups or dual calibration
- Space or level needs can't be met at your location
- Weather could hurt accuracy (rain, wind, extreme temps)
Shop Benefits:
- Level, controlled surface removes floor slope variables
- Steady lighting removes glare and shadow issues
- No wind or weather problems
- Precise target positioning at exact distances and heights
- Clean paperwork for insurance and fleet records
Dynamic Calibration
Dynamic calibration teaches your car's systems to recognize real-world driving through actual road testing.
The Process:
- Pre-scan to check system readiness and clear any fault codes
- Road testing at factory-specified speeds and conditions
- Scan tool monitoring throughout the drive cycle
- Post-scan to confirm successful calibration completion
- Complete paperwork provided
When Dynamic Is Required:
- Factory procedure specifies road-based calibration
- Car systems need real-world reference points
- Some luxury cars with advanced safety packages
- Certain makes and models as specified by manufacturer
Dual Calibration (Static + Dynamic)
Some car models require both static and dynamic calibration to fully restore ADAS accuracy. We handle the complete start-to-finish process.
The Complete Dual Process:
- Static phase: Precise target alignment in controlled space
- Dynamic phase: Road testing at specified speeds and conditions
- Check: Final scans confirm both phases completed successfully
- Paperwork: Complete calibration report covering both methods
Commonly Required For:
- Luxury cars with complete ADAS packages
- Newer models with multiple integrated safety systems
- Cars after major collision or suspension work
- When factory explicitly specifies both methods required
We determine the exact needs based on your car's year, make, model, and specific ADAS features equipped.
When Does Your Vehicle Need ADAS Calibration?
After Windshield Work
Camera and sensor positions change when glass is replaced. Even minor repairs can affect the precise accuracy these systems require.
After Collision Repairs
Any front-end work, bumper replacement, or body alignment can shift sensor positioning.
After Suspension Changes
Changes to ride height or suspension parts affect camera angles and detection zones.
The bottom line: Modern safety features like lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking depend on precise alignment. Calibration restores that factory accuracy.
Mobile Calibration Requirements
We bring our equipment to your location when conditions allow for accurate calibration.
Your site needs:
- Level, paved surface with 10-20 feet of clear space ahead of vehicle.
- No curbs, drains, slopes, or obstructions in setup zone
- Consistent lighting (garage or shade preferred - no harsh glare)
- Clean windshield and camera area
- Stable weather conditions
**We check if it works when you book. If conditions aren't suitable on the day, we complete the work in our controlled shop.

What Our Customers Say
I had a great experience with Magic Glass. They came out to replace my windshield and calibrated at my home. Everyone was very professional and courteous. They also were very fair with their pricing. I highly recommend them if you are needing to repair/replace your windshield.
I have to admit at first I wasn't sure about using this company. However the 400+ reviews helped and even the bad one helped because I saw how well the company handled the review. My experience was a phenomenal one. They were on time. They kept in good contact the whole time leading up to the appointment. Gary, the technician who put in the window was great at explaining everything. Very honest and he went over all of the do's and don'ts afterwards. Gary was unable to calibrate the cameras for the new windshield. However, he let Justin know and Justin set me up with Mario who came out and calibrated it 2 days later at my earliest convenience. The window is fantastic. The calibration spot on I couldn't be happier and their price was far better than all other prices I was getting around town. Justin even helped me with my insurance company. Would I use them again? You know it ! Not only would I use them again, I would highly recommend them to anybody and everybody. The whole experience was painless! Ty so much.
Common ADAS Calibration Questions
On most modern vehicles, yes. Camera/sensor positions change when glass is replaced, so calibration restores OEM-spec accuracy.
Plan on ~20–60 minutes depending on static/dynamic requirements, vehicle model, and road/test conditions.
Features like lane-keep or AEB may under- or over-react. Research shows even small misalignments impact performance.
Many policies do when calibration is part of a covered glass repair—your documentation makes approval easier.
We follow the car's factory (OEM/AGSC-aligned) procedure. Some models require both types. Static calibration uses targets and level surfaces in-shop or mobile. Dynamic calibration tests systems on the road using a scan tool and defined speeds and conditions.
